Meet the Radical Kidz Board

Betty Leake-Executive Director-I am proudly the executive director of Radical Kidz and mother of Founder Zmari Leake. My son has inspired me to create a solution to the issues he's witnessed in our community. I have a bachelor's degree in Organization Communication from Queens University in Charlotte and a master's degree in Organizational Development from McCall's School of Business, Charlotte, NC. Betty is a serial entrepreneur and wants these young people to walk away feeling self-sufficient with a business plan of their own.

Zmari Leake- Founder- Hello! My name is Zmari Leake, President of Radical Kidz, Inc., my mother and I have worked hard trying to get this nonprofit afloat to help single mothers and fathers, kids from broken homes and etc. During my days in high school, I witnessed all around me miserable students suffering from depression, violent outbursts, mental breakdowns and a lot of other stuff, and I took it upon myself to help them by joining the school's suicide hotline. It helped but not much and my mother thought of a bigger picture. Come join our journey to make this small dream a big reality in the Radical Kidz, “Where your dreams are endless”.

Martha Morris-Board Member Martha Morris joined Radical Kidz in November 2022. As a product of adoption being raised and still reside in Charlotte, N.C. I believe that children minds should be challenged to explore life. I want to give my life learning experience to others to help guide their way and avoid those pitfalls that could easily lead them astray. I want all kids to know that they are loved cared for and protected. I want kids to know their life has no limits. No matter where they zip codes brings them from, or too. There is always more. I want to help kids dream again. I want to help keep kids to learn to imagine and use their imagination again. I want to see kids allowed to be kids.
